چکیده

Ann Rheum Dis August 2010 Vol 69 No 8 1572 genes within the linkage disequilibrium block defi ned by SNP with r2>0.5 with either of the SNP tested. Interestingly, many of the RA loci identifi ed, like the one confi rmed here, show stronger effects in autoantibodypositive subgroups, suggesting that autoantibody positive RA may have different underlying pathogenic mechanisms underpinned by Confi rmation of association of the REL locus with rheumatoid arthritis susceptibility in the UK population

Association of IL-10 rs1800896 (-1082 G/A) gene polymorphism and susceptibility to rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in Northeast of Iran

Background and objectives: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a complex and systemic inflammatory disease in which the immune response is disturbed. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the promoter regions of regulatory cytokines including interleukin-10 (IL-10) may lead to exacerbated immune response and increased risk of RA. Here, we aimed to assess the association of IL-10 -1082 (G/A) (rs180...

Lack of Association between PTPN22 (+1858 C>T) rs2476601 polymorphism and susceptibility to rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in Northeast of Iran

Background and objectives: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease with a complex genetic background. The protein tyrosine phosphatase non-receptor type 22 (PTPN22) is a lymphoid specific protein tyrosine phosphatase which is involved in negative regulation of T cell response. Several studies have assessed the association between PTPN22 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) with RA ...

Association of CD40 with rheumatoid arthritis confirmed in a large UK case-control study

OBJECTIVE A recent meta-analysis of published genome-wide association studies (GWAS) in populations of European descent reported novel associations of markers mapping to the CD40, CCL21 and CDK6 genes with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) susceptibility while a large-scale, case-control association study in a Japanese population identified association with multiple single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP...

Genome-wide meta-analysis of Psoriatic Arthritis Identifies Susceptibility Locus at REL

Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a chronic inflammatory musculoskeletal disease affecting up to 30% of psoriasis vulgaris (PsV) cases and approximately 0.25 to 1% of the general population. To identify common susceptibility loci, we performed a meta-analysis of three imputed genome-wide association studies (GWAS) on psoriasis, stratified for PsA. A total of 1,160,703 single-nucleotide polymorphisms...
